The legend of the famed King Arthur has lasted longer then many similar stories for many reasons. It is often considered the most famous mid-evil romances ever, and it has to due the most with the amount of adventure in every story. It does not matter if it is Mallory or White, the stories have many different battles and adventures. Every guy likes to read a story full of adventure, and has since the day it was written. The many different battle scenes is a draw that many older stories do not usually have, causing people to become disenchanted to them.
The story is not only a draw for guys, but with the many romantic elements woman are drawn to it over and over again as well. Every girl wanted to know if Sir Gawain was going to fail and fall for the woman of the castle. They all were very happy when he did remain loyal to the King of the castle. The love between Arthur and Guinevere and Lancelot and Guinevere was very intriguing. We either hoped that Guinevere would stay with Arthur, against the prophecy made by Merlin, or we hoped that her love for the young and handsome Lancelot would win out.
It does not matter if you want to read about action and adventure or about love and romance, the Legend of King Arthur has a lot to offer. this is why it has lasted so long. it has something for everyone.
